A global program that encourages teenage teams to collaborate and create, monetize and launch their own hi-tech projects that address the need for social change.

How It Works

Gather a team of at least 2 like-minded students and 1 coach and create innovative idea addressing global challenges, e.g.

Register your team until 12/15/2020 and get the opportunity to represent your country at Fresh Geeks World Hackathon!

Application

Software and App Development
  1. Project that competes in this category is a software product for PCs or application for smartphones, that will give a solution to an existing need and addresses a social challenge.
  2. This software or application can be installed on existing devices and doesn't require development of new devices.
  3. For successful participation in the online selection of finalists for the FG Global Hackathon team with the project in this category should have a working demo that is available for testing. At the same time it shouldn't be necessarily uploaded to AppStore/GooglePlay etc.
  4. The project should have potential to be lucrative. We realistically don't expect income in the incubation phase, but we expect solving an existing need for customers with a viable business model.
  5. A Software & Application project can use such areas of Hi-Tech as Machine Learning, AI, VR etc.

Examples:
Program that helps ADHD kids concentrate / Application where students can earn points for not using their phones during classes / Game that educates teenagers financial literacy

  3. For successful participation in the online selection of finalists for the FG Global Hackathon team with the project in this category should have a working prototype or MVP that is available for testing. At the same time the product shouldn't be necessarily produced or launched for sales.
  4. The project should have potential to be lucrative. We realistically don't expect income in the incubation phase, but we expect solving an existing need for customers with a viable business model.
  5. A IOT & Robotics project can use such areas of Hi-Tech as Machine Learning, AI, VR etc.

  2. Web project can be built on existing platforms and doesn't require programming of the code or development of devices needed for the content creation.
  3. For successful participation in the online selection of finalists for the FG Global Hackathon team with the project in this category should have a published version of their webpage or blog accessible for users.
  4. The project should have potential to be lucrative. We realistically don't expect income in the incubation phase, but we expect solving an existing need for customers with a viable business model, monetization and promotion plan.

Examples:
Online store that sells local souvenirs / Video blog about global challenges / Online touristic audio guide for less developed countries / Web platform that supports kids with anxiety
Web Projects
  1. Project that competes in this category is an online site or web blog that is created to solve an existing need and addresses a social challenge.
  2. Web project can be built on existing platforms and doesn't require programming of the code or development of devices needed for the content creation.
  3. For successful participation in the online selection of finalists for the FG Global Hackathon team with the project in this category should have a published version of their webpage or blog accessible for users.
  4. The project should have potential to be lucrative. We realistically don't expect income in the incubation phase, but we expect solving an existing need for customers with a viable business model, monetization and promotion plan.
